Performing thorough patient evaluations, requesting diagnostic assessments, and establishing personalized care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues collaboratively with physicians or independently (as per credentialing) Providing education to patients and their families on health maintenance, prevention, and chronic disease management Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in accordance with legal scope Engaging in follow-up patient care and chronic condition management Working in tandem with interdisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive, comprehensive healthcare Accurately documenting care within electronic medical records (EMR) Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner curriculum Required Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Indiana National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to secure within 90 days) Skills That Set You Apart
