Description: Must have OR experience. Department performs general X-ray. There are 2 fixed units, 1 fixed department, and 5 portable units. Additional equipment includes 1 fluoroscopy unit, 1 C-arm for video swallow, 5 surgical C-arms, a cysto fluoroscopy table, and a hybrid OR vascular unit. Techs may need to float to other areas such as Emergency Department and Inpatient services. Common imaging studies include emergency/trauma, OR, and inpatient cases. Non-OR fluoroscopic exams may be performed based on experience and comfort level. The average number of scans/studies performed per day is 100-150 plain films and 10-15 OR cases. The department uses an EMR system and a PACS system for imaging. Radiology Supervisor leads the team. Travelers will be expected to precept students. Block scheduling is available with some flexibility. Most OR tech needs require 1-3 on-call weekends during the contract. On-call/standby is required for OR tech during weekdays. Scrubs are light grey and are not provided. Surgical scrubs are acceptable for all staff covering the OR. Expectations for holiday coverage may vary based on the contract. Radiologist is in-house Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. IV starts are not required for this department. No Registered Radiology Assistants are utilized. The department has a trauma level of 2. Care setting is acute.
