Perform thorough patient assessments, initiate diagnostic testing, and create personalized care plans Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (as per your credentials) Guide patients and their families on wellness, disease prevention, and effective management strategies Prescribe necessary medications and therapies adhering to your professional scope Engage in patient follow-up and oversee chronic care management Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, coordinated care Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Mandatory Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in California Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days) Attributes That Set You Apart
