Neurosurgery Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Location: Portland, Maine Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule: Shifts are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a weekend rotation of 1:4 weekends. Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience in scrubbing neuro cases and is proficient with Stryker instruments, Airo CT navigation, and O-arm Navigation. You will assist in complex spine deformity cases and brain surgeries including minimally invasive procedures and brain aneurysms. The position may require participating in neuro call, with an expectation of 50-150 hours of call within an 8-week block. Responsibilities:
Scrub for neurosurgery procedures, ensuring a sterile field. Assist with patient positioning and preparation. Manage surgical instruments and supplies, including Stryker and Olympus equipment. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical staff. Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications:
At least 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a Level I Trauma Center. CST certification is required. Experience with neuro cases and related technologies.
