Schedule 12-hour day/night rotating shifts, including weekends as scheduled. Nurses will work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Minimum of 3 night shifts required for those on straight days. Job Description The Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care for a ratio of 1:4, typically operating at 1:5, with some shifts at 1:6. The unit consists of 30 beds featuring both private and semi-private rooms. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications (including titrating fluids), and coordinating with an in-house clinical team, including Hospitalists and Intensivists. ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care for patients with conditions such as chest pain, CHF, and post-procedural care. Manage and interpret telemetry strips with the support of Tele Techs. Titrate IV drips as needed, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitroglycerin. Ensure high standards of patient safety and care in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team. Participate in floating to other departments as needed. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureCurrent RN License BLS and ACLS certifications NIHSS certification preferred Ability to manage IV placements (with IV team support) and provide CPR as necessary Why ARMStaffing?
