Conduct a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout each procedure, communicating every detail with empathy Work in close partnership with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the production of top-quality diagnostic images Operate and perform routine maintenance on imaging equipment, promptly reporting any issues Maintain comprehensive patient records and accurately document procedures within electronic medical systems Commit to ongoing education by keeping up with advances in ultrasound technologies and best practices Education Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or similar field Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred Certifications Required
Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred Skills Required
Proficient technical knowledge in sonography techniques and patient positioning Exceptional communication skills and ability to connect with patients Capability to thrive independently and within a multidisciplinary team Comfortable in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a patient-centered focus Benefits Overview
