Registered Nurse - Night Shift This position is for night shifts, specifically from 19:00 to 07:00. The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. The RN provides routine and complex care, with the ability to manage long-range goals or plans while continuing to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Responsibilities
Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice. Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of the prescribed treatment. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given. Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred. BLS certification from AHA required. RN License in the state of employment or compact.
