Preparing and organizing the operating room for surgical procedures Upholding a sterile environment, stringently adhering to infection control protocols Providing instruments and supplies to surgeon and surgical assistants Managing the surgical equipment effectively throughout each process Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring everything is ready for upcoming surgeries Partnering with nursing staff, anesthesiologists, and surgeons for cohesive patient care Keeping accurate counts and documentation of surgical materials Requirements for Education:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary Essential Certifications:
Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is mandatory BLS certification (or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of hire) Valued Skills and Qualities:
