Work as a Cardiac Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant 4x10 hour shifts per week with possible weekend coverage Schedule options: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM (to be discussed during interview) No call coverage required Manage approximately 10 patients per day Provide pre and post-operative cardiac surgery care Manage ICU patients, conduct rounds, and handle discharge planning Work collaboratively with on-site APPs and surgeons in a team-oriented environment Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system Minimum 5 years of acute care cardiac surgery experience required Operating room experience not required Board certification required Valid California license and DEA registration required BLS and ACLS certifications required; CALS preferred but not mandatory Clean background check and no malpractice history required Facility: This healthcare organization operates a 260-bed medical center providing comprehensive cardiovascular services.
