YOUR NEW CAREER As hands-on Applications Engineer you will be part of a global team responsible for field and technical support of Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing (DFOS) solutions. Using fiber optic cables as continuous sensors, we combine cutting-edge photonics sensing technology and machine learning to deliver reliable real-time insights along pipelines, power cables, railway lines, and other assets. In this role, you play a key part in customer deployments in the US, Canada, Central & South America.
Your Responsibilities
As an application engineer you will be managing fiber optical sensing projects, including site surveys, system (field) configuration, network interfacing, site acceptance, customer hand-over training, and ongoing operational support. You will provide strong assistance to sales team members and our value-added partners in evaluating project requirements and developing project-specific AP Sensing solutions.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field Knowledge of fiber optics Strong presentation skills are required Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in a team with strong communication, and documentation skills Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic customer focused environment Command with 2D drawing tools Solid computer networking skills: architecture and problem-solving Experience with SCADA interfaces (e.g. Modbus, DNP3, IEC 104, other) 4+ years’ experience working in the fiber optics, instrumentation, or control system industry – fiber optics test and measurement experience desirable Fluency in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a bonus)

Location As the AP Sensing Americas team is distributed throughout the United States and Mexico, you will be working from a home office with flexible working hours. 60% of your time will be in-filed to travel to our clients and our project locations in the US, Canada, Central & South America
