Security Officer Armed -FT

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Specialist in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Perform armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Screen entrants, personal property, and restricted items in accordance with site procedures, and report concerns or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support orderly movement of visitors and staff throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A valid armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
