Programme Executive - Inspections Unit (Public Sector) This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and analytical professional to join a leading public sector body in a key role supporting compliance, governance, and the delivery of Irelands national climate action targets. Working within the Inspections Unit, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting energy upgrade schemes and ensuring high-quality programme delivery across Ireland. Salary: €53,071 per annum (non-negotiable) Location: Dublin, Dundalk, Cork or Sligo Contract: 14-Month Contract (Maternity Leave Cover) Hybrid Working: Blended working model available Hours: 41.25 hours per week (35 hours net of rest breaks) Annual Leave: 29 days annual leave plus public holidays Application Deadline: Tuesday 9th June at 5:00pm* Key Responsibilities Apply risk-based criteria to the selection of properties for inspection and audit activities across grant-funded energy upgrade schemes. Coordinate and monitor outsourced inspection and audit providers to ensure compliance activities are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Monitor service delivery performance against SLAs and KPIs through regular reporting and stakeholder engagement. Assist with forecasting inspection volumes, operational planning, and invoice reconciliation. Analyse and report on compliance metrics and high-risk activity using visualisation and reporting tools. Support the development and implementation of digital platforms and process improvements across schemes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, efficiency, and customer service excellence. Collaborate with internal teams to support programme delivery, risk mitigation, and operational compliance. Attend site inspections periodically to ensure alignment between operational practice and compliance standards. Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous professional development. About You Essential Requirements The successful candidate will demonstrate: A relevant qualification in Science, Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, Building Services, Construction Project Management, or a related discipline, alongside the required relevant experience: Level 8 degree with a minimum of 3 years experience, OR Level 7 degree with a minimum of 5 years experience, OR Level 6 qualification with a minimum of 8 years experience. Strong experience working with large datasets and data analytics tools including Power Query, Power BI, or Tableau. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong IT proficiency including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and SharePoint. Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Desirable Requirements Knowledge of sustainable energy management and energy upgrade schemes. Understanding of Irelands construction or building technologies sector. Knowledge of Irish building regulations and health & safety legislation. Experience within compliance, inspections, auditing, or regulatory environments. Experience managing outsourced service providers or teams. Knowledge of business process management. Experience delivering strong customer service outcomes. Proficiency in the Irish language.
