Assist the teacher with daily instructional activities and lesson implementation Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts Help prepare instructional materials, classroom displays, and learning stations Support students with assignments, organization, and classroom routines 2. Student Supervision & Behavior Support
Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, playground, cafeteria, and during transitions Help maintain a positive, respectful, and orderly classroom environment Reinforce classroom rules and behavior expectations set by the teacher Provide guidance and support to students as needed 3. Faith Integration
Model Catholic values such as respect, kindness, and service Support prayer, liturgical activities, and faith-based classroom practices Encourage students to demonstrate Christian behavior in daily interactions Assist in fostering a faith-filled classroom atmosphere 4. Administrative & Clerical Support
Assist with grading, filing, copying, and organizing student work Help maintain accurate records as directed by the teacher Prepare and distribute classroom materials and supplies 5. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with the classroom teacher to support instructional goals Communicate student needs or concerns to the teacher Participate in staff meetings or training sessions as required Maintain professionalism when interacting with students, parents, and staff Job RequirementsHigh school diploma required; some college coursework in education preferred Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting preferred Understanding of child development and classroom management basics Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Practicing Catholic or willingness to support the mission and values of Catholic education (often preferred) Background check and safe environment training as required by the diocese
