Perform tasks as assigned by the manager in various areas, including dishwashing, serving line, dish room, or cash register. Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency. Keep work and service areas clean and sanitary, avoiding backlog of dishes and equipment. Clear and clean dining tables and chairs, and sweep the kitchen preparation area. Move and store food and supplies, including items up to 50 pounds. Assist wherever needed to expedite work and ensure smooth operations. Cooperate with team members, following instructions and maintaining a positive attitude. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to learn and work in all areas of kitchen. Ability to work cooperatively with cafeteria staff. Some knowledge and experience in quantity cookery preferred. Educational, Certification and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Certificate from the health department permitting worker to handle food. Successful prior experience in food service field preferred.
