Research Associate
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Research Associate will be responsible for supporting the work of the project titled, An Assessment of Dual System Data and Practices Capacity across juvenile Justice and Child Welfare Systems, which includes but not limited to, coordinating project activities, collecting and analyzing data, report writing, and project management. The RA will be supervised and work in close coordination with Drs. Carly Dierkhising and Denise Herz, Prinicipal Investigators for the grant.
Compensation: $22/hour part-time up to 29 hours per week
Starting date and end date: May 2026- December 2027, with the possibility of continued employment based on funding.
SPECFIC JOB DUTIES:
Assist with the logistics of meeting planningArchive all project materialsAssist in the coordination of tasks/deliverables in accordance with project timelinesAssist in the preparation of materials for Workgroup meetingsTake and disseminate notes from Workgroup meetingsData entryPreparation of summary reports of resultsOther duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
REQUIRED
Proficient use of email, EXCEL, WORD, and SPSS.
REQUIRED
Must demonstrate an interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment.
PREFERRED
Lived experience expertise with the child welfare and/or juvenile justice systems.
PREFERRED
Familiarity with the juvenile justice and child welfare systems, structure, and processes
PREFERRED
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, detail oriented, and ability to work independently.
The incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the UAS. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or the continued employment of current UAS employees who apply for the position.
