Clayton Services is searching for an Administrative Assistant to join a thriving company in Houston, Texas. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for answering phones, performing data entry, maintaining files, assisting with accounting-related administrative tasks, and supporting daily office operations. Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $16.00-$18.00/hour, depending on experience
Benefits: Excellent benefits are available after the successful completion of the temporary period.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities: Answer incoming phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate department or team member Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized records File documents, update office records, and assist with general clerical tasks Provide administrative support to accounting and other internal departments Assist with daily office coordination and miscellaneous administrative projects Pick up lunch for the office as needed, with mileage reimbursement provided Maintain a professional and helpful attitude when interacting with employees, vendors, and visitors Support a fast-paced office environment while staying organized and detail-oriented Complete additional duties as assigned Administrative Assistant Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional phone etiquette and customer service mindset Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Dependable, punctual, and reliable Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy office setting Willingness to learn and assist wherever needed Comfortable working in a full-time, in-office role Ability to work successfully with multiple departments Positive attitude and strong work ethic Administrative Assistant Education and Experience: Previous administrative, clerical, receptionist, or office support experience preferred Basic computer skills required Data entry experience preferred Accounting or bookkeeping support experience is a plus High school diploma or equivalent required Bilingual Spanish is a plus Administrative Assistant - Immediate need.
