We are looking for an Information Security Analyst Sr. to monitor and manage information security processes and policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while safeguarding our systems and data. This position will be part-time, hybrid, and is a 3-6 month contract. Only work authorizations that will not require sponsorship now or in the future will be considered. What You'll Do
Monitor and inform supervisors of information security conditions, including problem areas and recommended enhancements Interface with users to understand security needs and implement procedures, including training and assessments Assist in preparing for security audits (e.g., IRS, SSA, OCSE, FBI, SBOA) and remediating findings; create and submit reports relevant to audits Develop information security policies and standards for compliance with requirements (e.g., IRS, SSA, OCSE, FBI, IOT) and guidelines (e.g., NIST SP 800-53) Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for implementing security policies Recommend security safeguards for new and legacy information technology systems Ensure maximum utilization of computer hardware/software features to secure automated systems and associated data Develop and implement procedures for using information security management software Perform periodic audits to ensure policies and standards are effective; generate reports and recommendations as needed Stay informed of new laws and changes affecting privacy, network security, cloud security, remote access, and physical security Mentor and provide guidance to team members as needed What You'll Need
Required: Bachelor's Degree in information security or technology Security certifications (e.g., CISSP) 1-3 years of network administration experience 3-5 years of IT experience 1-3 years of IT security experience 1-3 years of IT architecture experience Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC 2, CIS, Cobit) Experience with computer security compliance and auditing IRS, SSA computer security compliance and audit experience HIPAA experience Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
