Conduct an array of ultrasound tests, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts ultrasound imaging Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, ensuring clear and compassionate communication throughout Work in close collaboration with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-quality diagnostic images Responsibly operate and maintain imaging equipment while promptly reporting any issues Accurately document procedures and maintain comprehensive patient records within the electronic medical system Remain informed about innovations in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices Education Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a similar field Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program Certifications Required
Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred Skills Needed
In-depth technical knowledge of sonographic imaging methods and efficient patient positioning Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities Capability to work independently, while also thriving as part of a multidisciplinary team Adaptability to a fast-paced environment with a clear focus on patient care Benefits Overview
