Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through the use of established tests and observational assessments. Create tailored treatment plans focused on achieving immediate goals and fostering long-term improvement in communication, cognition, and swallowing capabilities. Engage in one-on-one speech therapy sessions that address aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to develop holistic care plans. Guide and educate patients and their families to ensure consistent progress beyond clinic visits. Occasionally support inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless patient care throughout their rehabilitation journey. Maintain diligent and precise documentation in accordance with state and national mandates and organizational policies. Commit to continual learning and advancement within the field through ongoing education and teamwork with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
