Looking for a Full-time (40 hours/week) candidate. The candidate can expect to work one night per week until 7:00pm, with remaining weekday shifts between 8:00am-5:30pm. They will expect to work every 4th weekend. We offer Full health benefits, a 401(k) program with a company match and a Profit Sharing bonus program. High School graduate or equivalent Registered with the Board of Pharmacy Excellent computer operating skills Basic math skills Job Description: The Sterling Long-Term Care Pharmacy Technician - Data Tech is responsible for receiving and processing prescription drug orders. Core Competencies and Responsibilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Maintains integrity in the workplace. Adhere to Sterling policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations. Excellent computer operating skills. Displayed proficiency in required software. Shows up promptly for all scheduled shifts. Displays excellent time management skills by identifying and working on the most important tasks first. Displays a strong work ethic and always works in an efficient manner. Demonstrates the ability to understand and resolve customer service and data entry issues independently and as a member of a team. Receive new prescriptions physically or electronically from facilities and residents. Follow the data entry process from gathering patient information to the prescription being filled. Accept prescription refill authorizations via the telephone or fax from prescriber. Answer the telephone in a timely manner (within 3 rings). Monitor reimbursement of prescriptions to achieve optimal gross profit margins. Accurately process prescriptions electronically. Collect appropriate information for billing of Medicaid and Medicare for DME and supplies. Communicate with the pharmacy manager on a regular basis. Displays willingness to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers and pharmacy. (willingness to adjust/trade or pick-up shifts when the need arises.) Order pharmacy stock and supplies from appropriate vendors. Willingness to accept new roles and responsibilities within the pharmacy.

Physical Requirements and Work Demands:
Requires the ability to work up to 40 hours per week and occasionally more. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including early morning, evening and weekend hours. In a typical 8-hour day, the candidate can lift of carry items up to approximately 25 pounds and stand approximately 8-hours. In a typical day, the candidate can spend 2-4 hours on the telephone.
