Required Skills: *Bachelor's Degree *License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State Registered Nurse *Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) Work Experience and Additional Information Two (2) years of critical care experience. Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Comprehensive knowledge of advanced and end-stage organ disease care across the continuum, including referral, diagnostic evaluation, medical and surgical interventions, inpatient care, discharge planning, and long-term follow-up management. • Knowledge of theory-based and evidence-based nursing practice to support the development, coordination, and delivery of complex patient care plans. • Knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and program requirements applicable to advanced organ disease programs and the ability to incorporate those requirements into daily clinical practice. • Knowledge of patient and family education principles, self -management frameworks, and transition-of-care best practices that support independent condition management. • Advanced clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to recognize deviations from expected parameters, investigate alternative perspectives, and complete comprehensive clinical assessments. • Strong interdisciplinary communication and care coordination skills to serve as a liaison among patients, families, physicians, care teams, hospital administration, and community agencies throughout the patient's care episode. • Proficiency in quality assurance, performance improvement, and process redesign methodologies, with the ability to support initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, nursing practice, and organizational workflows. • Ability to provide consultation and education to healthcare providers, interdisciplinary teams, and community stakeholders on issues related to advanced organ disease management. • Ability to function effectively in both inpatient and outpatient environments, adapting workflows and care approaches to the needs of the disease program while upholding the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
