Conduct thorough assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients through standardized tests and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to address both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver focused speech therapy interventions that target communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to cultivate integrated care approaches. Educate patients and families to empower progress beyond the walls of clinical sessions. Assist with occasional evaluations and interventions within the inpatient setting, enabling continuity of care throughout each patient's journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Commit to lifelong learning and development through continuing education programs and collaborative opportunities with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) when not ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Skills
