Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing customized care strategies Diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic health issues, whether independently or in collaboration with physicians Instructing patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and effective disease management Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in accordance with your professional scope Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care coordination Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless, comprehensive care Meticulously documenting patient information within electronic medical records (EMR) Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Successful graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Certifications Needed
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Michigan National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a recognized equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Skills That Make You Stand Out
