Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program. Valid state license to practice physical therapy in the United States. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology related to physical therapy. Experience in orthopedic and geriatric rehabilitation settings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams. Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in manual therapy or orthopedic physical therapy specialties. Experience working with sports injuries and sports medicine patients. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Additional training or certification in geriatric rehabilitation. Participation in continuing education and professional development activities. Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical conditions and functional limitations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on rehabilitation and pain management. Apply manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to improve patient mobility and strength. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to achieve optimal outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and wellness strategies. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and integrate evidence-based approaches.
