Responsibilities:
The CNA/CMA will play a critical role in delivering hands-on, compassionate care to residents in a long-term care setting. This position focuses on supporting residents' daily needs, maintaining dignity, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment during overnight hours.
1.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
2.
Observe residents throughout the night, monitor vital signs as needed, and promptly report any changes in condition to the nursing team.
3.
Administer medications as directed (for CMA-qualified candidates) while ensuring accuracy, safety, and proper documentation.
4.
Provide reassurance, companionship, and emotional support to residents, especially during nighttime hours when needs may increase.
5.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with nurses and incoming shifts to ensure continuity of care.
