Your Role:
Provide patient assessment and diagnosis, and formulate outcome-based psychiatric treatment plans Order, conduct, and interpret pertinent laboratory and diagnostic procedures with appropriate follow through Prescribe, monitor, and evaluate psychotropic and related medications Promote positive health behaviors and self-care skills through education and counseling Consult, refer, and collaborate with other discipline involved in the delivery of total patient care Refer patients for inpatient care in accordance with statues and protocols regulating the profession Assess real or potential health hazards including analysis of health behavior related to lifestyle and culture Maintain confidentiality of patient records pertaining to treatment
What We Are Looking For:
Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current license in good standing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of Nebraska Current and unencumbered DEA Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental dysfunctions Ability to collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other health professionals as needed Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting
