Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through a combination of standardized assessments and observational methods. Design tailored treatment plans that effectively target both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing demands. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions, focusing on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Engage in collaborative practices with medical professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to foster unified care strategies. Educate patients and families, empowering them to continue progress outside of the clinic. Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care along the treatment continuum. Document care interventions in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines, maintaining precise records. Commit to ongoing professional development and networking with peers to stay abreast of the latest innovations in the field. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Essential Certifications
Active state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist. Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Key Skills
