60% solo or 40% supervised medical direction with an ideal 1:3 ratio and occasional 1:2 coverage.
Wide variety of cases, including:
General Surgery Ortho OB ENT Urology GI Neuro Vascular Do not handle major trauma, transplant or cardiac cases (these cases are handled by a separate team)
Ball Memorial Hospital is a regional referral center with a full spectrum of surgical services. You will join a supportive Anesthesia group that values autonomy, teamwork, and clinical quality. It is both a teaching hospital and a regional tertiary referral center. Over the last decade, the hospital has undergone a $130 million remodel and currently serves over 82,700 patients daily. Since the early 1980s, physicians and staff members have been actively involved in national and international medical research studies, particularly in the areas of oncology, cardiology and coagulation.
