Required Qualifications
Surgical Technologist, OR Experience: 2 years Certifications: BLS-AHA
CERT-NBSTSA- CST ST: NBSTSA ONLY - no other certs will be accepted RN and ST: Eye experience required ST: DORA is required - Says application is 15-30 mins and can take a few days to 1-2 weeks if everything is completed. Background checks are what makes it take longer. Costs about $85 and background and fingerprints $40-60 depending on the vendor. Renews every year. What's required to submit- Online application through DORA Proof of training/education or experience Criminal background check Employment and certification history Colorado requires surgical technologists to register with the state database and renew yearly but does not require a national certification to register Preferred Qualifications
