Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based Location Available: Yelm, WA Schedule: Full-Time (School Hours) | Contract Setting: K-12 School Campuses (varies by district) Estimated Starting Compensation: Ranges from $51-64/hr., DOE Make a Real Impact as a School Speech-Language Pathologist We're hiring experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for school-based opportunities in multiple districts and locations. We have openings for professionals interested in:
Campus-Based / Full-Scope SLP (testing + therapy + IEP/ARD participation) Evaluation-Only SLP (testing + report writing only) Therapy-Only SLP (direct services focused on goal progress) SLPA Supervision Opportunities (may be paired with another role type)
What You'll Do As a School SLP, you will support students with communication disorders that impact educational performance, including:
Speech sound disorders Language delays/disorders Fluency (stuttering) Voice concerns
Your responsibilities may include (based on assignment):
Conducting evaluations and writing reports Providing individual and group therapy services Collaborating with educators, families, and special education teams Participating in IEP meetings / ARD meetings Supporting student progress toward communication goals Supervising SLPAs (when applicable)
Qualifications (Core Requirements)
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAA-accredited program Completion of a Clinical Fellowship (CF) (or ability to complete) Praxis exam passed ASHA CCC-SLP (preferred; CF candidates encouraged to apply) Ability to pass school background requirements
State Licensure Requirements Applicants must hold appropriate credentials for the state of assignment
Washington (WA): WA Dept. of Health; Must hold a state SLP license and an Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate from the OSPI.
