Referral Coordinator Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (no weekends, nights, or major holidays) Full-time, 40/hour per week Pay starts at $15 an hour with increases available based on performance. Locations available: Morristown and Newport, TN, In-Person Who we are: River Valley Health is a comprehensive Federally Qualified Health Center caring for over 70,000 patients across 13 counties in Tennessee. We provide integrated primary medical, behavioral, dental, optometry, and clinical pharmacy services through our nationally recognized integrated model of care. We are committed to serving our mission to care for all, regardless of ability to pay, through innovation, excellence, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities:
Process incoming and outgoing patient referrals for specialists, diagnostic tests, treatments, or other healthcare services. Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage for referred services. Communicate with patients to inform them of referral appointments, instructions, and necessary preparations. Track and monitor referrals to ensure timely follow-up and appointments. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient computer skills.
Previous experience in healthcare preferred but not required. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Why join us:
