Overview: Lead a dedicated respiratory therapy team by ensuring efficient supervision and the delivery of high-quality respiratory and sleep disorder services. This role emphasizes patient safety, staff development, and adherence to clinical standards within a supportive healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee scheduling, record keeping, and work assignments for respiratory therapy and sleep disorder services. Provide clinical guidance to physicians to ensure appropriate care delivery. Review and recommend updates to departmental policies and procedures. Coordinate orientation and training for new staff members. Ensure routine inspection and maintenance of respiratory equipment, promptly addressing safety concerns. Conduct timely performance evaluations for assigned staff. Serve as Clinical Coordinator for respiratory therapy students. Promote a culture of patient safety and quality care. Education and Experience:
Associate or Bachelor's degree from a respiratory therapy program accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education (JRCRTE). Minimum of five years of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience. At least three years of management experience, preferably in healthcare supervision. Licensure and Certifications:
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner as recognized by the relevant state health professions bureau. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification for sleep disorders.
