Conduct assessments of patients across various age groups including pediatrics, adults, and seniors through standardized evaluation methods and careful observation. Create individualized treatment strategies tailored to both immediate goals and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Provide dedicated, patient-focused speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team made up of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to design unified care plans. Educate patients and families to ensure consistent progress beyond the clinical environment. Assist with rare inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, securing seamless continuity in care throughout the treatment process. Maintain meticulous documentation that aligns with regulatory requirements across state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in the field and collaborating with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized educational institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
