We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join a vibrant healthcare team in the Midwest region. In this role, you will be instrumental in diagnosing and monitoring heart conditions by performing high-quality echocardiographic imaging. Collaborating closely with cardiologists and other medical professionals, your expertise will help guide patient care and treatment decisions. Key Responsibilities:
Perform adult echocardiograms, including exercise and pharmacological stress tests, transesophageal, and limited pediatric studies, following established protocols. Utilize 2D, color flow, spectral Doppler imaging, and ultrasound enhancing agents to capture detailed cardiac images. Evaluate cardiac disease states by interpreting hemodynamic data and measurements accurately. Input precise echocardiographic measurements and Doppler indices into the cardiac reporting system. Communicate critical findings and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide compassionate patient education and support to ensure comfort and understanding during procedures. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in cardiac ultrasound technology and cardiology best practices. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Education and Certification:
Associate's degree in a relevant field or completion of an accredited echocardiography program. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography (AE) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI, or registry eligibility upon hire with successful certification within 12 months. Experience and Skills:
Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and pathology. Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and performing echocardiographic procedures. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Reliable attendance and ability to meet physical demands of the role.
