Make a Difference as a Nutritionist at Children's Friend! Location: We have locations in Providence, RI, Pawtucket, RI and Central Falls, RI Reports To: Nutrition Supervisor Employment Type: Full-Time Are you passionate about promoting health and wellness in children and families? Do you want to be part of a mission-driven organization that supports communities through culturally competent care? If so, Children's Friend wants YOU to join our team! What You'll Do: As a Nutritionist with Children's Friend, you'll be at the heart of programs like WIC, Head Start, Early Head Start, and Childcare Services — delivering critical, culturally aware nutrition counseling to families. You'll:
Provide one-on-one and group nutrition counseling tailored to each program and family's needs. Lead engaging wellness activities like active play classes, cooking demos, and farmer's market visits. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate care and refer families to services. Develop Individual Nutrition Plans and ensure allergy/dietary needs are properly documented. Be a go-to resource on nutrition, food safety, and wellness for families and staff.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field. 2+ years of experience preferred. A passion for serving diverse communities — bilingual candidates are especially encouraged to apply! Valid driver's license, car, and insurance for travel to various sites. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
