Our Lowell, AR testing laboratory is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join our Chemistry department! An ideal candidate will be ready to help our customers and us work toward our goal of making the world a safer, more secure, and sustainable place to live, work, and play. This role has a schedule of 1:00pm to 9:30pm, Monday through Friday, at our Lowell, AR location.
Clean, rinse, and prepare laboratory glassware according to standard procedures.
Properly label glassware, containers, and samples in accordance with laboratory requirements.
Safely empty chemical residues from glassware into designated waste containers following waste-handling guidelines.
Organize, file, and store samples in the retention area to maintain accurate records and accessibility.
Assist with basic laboratory testing or sample preparation tasks as assigned.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory work areas, sinks, and storage locations.
Follow laboratory safety policies, chemical handling procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Notify laboratory staff or supervisors of safety concerns, equipment issues, or procedural deviations.
Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
Performs other duties as directed.
