Work Schedule: Regular hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (40 hours per week).
Core Responsibilities • Direct Patient Care: Interview and examine patients, review medical history, and perform or request diagnostic tests.
• Diagnosis and Treatment: Make preliminary diagnoses, prescribe treatments, and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
• Urgent Care: Evaluate, stabilize, and transfer patients presenting with conditions such as sepsis, myocardial infarction, fractures, and pediatric illnesses.
• Emergency Response: Serve as a member of the "code team" during life-threatening "code blue" situations.
• Care Coordination: Coordinate with allied health professionals (social workers, health educators) and refer patients to specialized facilities when necessary.
• Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with Joint Commission standards.
Qualifications and Requirements • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Licensure: Must possess a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
• Background Check: Must undergo a character investigation in accordance with the Indian Health Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act (Public Law 101-630).
• Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen.
Physical and Administrative Requirements • Travel/Lodging: Government quarters may be available for rent.
