Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and developing individualized care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic diseases alongside physicians or independently (subject to credentialing) Instructing patients and their families on wellness strategies, disease prevention, and management Prescribing medications and therapies within the scope of your practice Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for seamless, comprehensive care Accurately documenting all patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR) Education and Certification Essentials
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Necessary Credentials
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in California National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialization Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) Attributes That Make You Shine
