Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming Provide mobility support, including use of sit-to-stand equipment (also functions as a Hoyer lift) Reposition/turn client every 2 hours to prevent pressure injuries Assist with meal preparation and light support during mealtimes Support wound care by following care instructions provided by the Registered Nurse (wound care nurse visits 2–3 times per week) Monitor and report any changes in condition to supervising nurse/agency
Important Note on Wound Care: This position involves assisting with wound care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Tasks are limited to maintaining cleanliness and following established care plans. All care must remain within CNA scope of practice and agency policy. Qualifications:
Active CNA certification in the state of Texas Experience with personal care and mobility assistance preferred Comfortable using transfer equipment (sit-to-stand/Hoyer lift) Ability to follow detailed care plans and nurse instructions Dependable, attentive, and compassionate
