Occupational Therapist Summit Academy North is currently seeking a positive, creative and energetic Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year to join our Summit Family! Our doors at Summit Academy North have been open for 25 years, educating students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Located in Romulus, MI, our beautiful buildings are filled with over 1,600 inspiring young minds. Overview Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals as a Part Time Occupational Therapist. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual who is committed to improving the quality of life for our clients. This role provides an opportunity to work in a supportive environment while having the flexibility of a part-time schedule. Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and assess clients' needs, abilities, and goals. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to promote independence in daily activities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Educate clients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and best practices. Document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary for optimal outcomes. Promote a positive and encouraging atmosphere for recovery and rehabilitation.
Qualifications Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Proven experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a similar setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Empathy and a strong dedication to client care and wellbeing.
