Conduct thorough patient evaluations to diagnose neurological conditions. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as MRIs, CT scans, and X-rays. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Perform complex surgical procedures on the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. Utilize advanced surgical techniques to address neurological disorders. Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to ensure successful outcomes. Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment options. Work closely with other medical professionals, including neurologists, radiologists, and rehabilitation specialists. Participate in multidisciplinary conferences to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies. Contribute to a collaborative and supportive working environment. Engage in ongoing research activities related to neurosurgery. Stay current with advancements in neurosurgical techniques and technologies. Contribute to medical education through training and mentoring residents and medical students.
Qualifications:
Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board certification in Neurosurgery. Fellowship trained. Current and valid medical license. Proven experience as a practicing Neurosurgeon. Demonstrated proficiency in a wide range of neurosurgical procedures. All subspecialties are welcomed, but interest in spine, tumor, or endovascular is of particular interest as we try to grow these subdivisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain complex medical concepts to patients and their families. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Dedication to staying abreast of new developments and advancements in the field.
