Provide services to students under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) Implement treatment plans and therapy activities developed by the supervising PT Support students with mobility, positioning, balance, strength, coordination, and access Use adaptive equipment, mobility devices, transfers, and environmental modifications Deliver services in a variety of settings (e.g., classroom, small group, one-on-one) Work with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support student success Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings, team meetings, and progress discussions Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant service documentation and records Manage caseload responsibilities, including scheduling and service tracking Communicate effectively with school staff and, when appropriate, families Support a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment Ensure compliance with applicable state, federal, and professional standards Adapt to changes in student needs, schedules, and school priorities throughout the year
Requirements Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program Current Wisconsin DSPS Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing Current Wisconsin DPI School Physical Therapy Assistant license (O054) Individual NPI number (required for Medicaid billing beginning in the 2026–2027 school year) Maintenance of all licenses and certifications in good standing throughout employment Ability to meet all district and state onboarding requirements, including background checks
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred Familiarity with IEPs, evaluations, service documentation, and progress monitoring preferred Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams New graduates are encouraged to apply!

Ability to comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including FERPA and HIPAA Reliable transportation, if travel between school sites is required Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation
