Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric populations through the use of standardized tests and observational methods. Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to immediate needs as well as long-term communication or swallowing objectives. Deliver focused speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions. Work in harmony with a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge unified care plans. Educate patients and families to promote continued progress outside the clinical setting. Conduct occasional evaluations and therapy interventions for inpatients, ensuring seamless care during their entire journey. Keep thorough and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational guidelines. Remain informed about the latest industry advancements through continual education and collaborative learning with peers. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary for those yet to achieve ASHA certification. Certifications
Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-employment. Skills
