Radiologist Southfield, Michigan, United States About the Job Be a part of transforming diagnostic care A respected, mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a skilled and compassionate radiologist to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an opportunity to practice meaningful, patient-centered diagnostic care that directly impacts the lives of individuals and communities. In this role, you won't just interpret scans; you'll help shape clinical stories of recovery, resilience, and informed care decisions. Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic expertise Interpret and report a comprehensive range of imaging studies, including X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, CT, and MRI. Provide timely, accurate, and actionable diagnostic reports that support treatment decisions for primary care providers and specialists. Clinical collaboration Communicate consultatively with referring physicians to guide clinical care. When appropriate, partner with care teams to discuss imaging findings with patients. Team integration Work closely with internal medicine, women's health, cardiology, and urgent care providers for coordinated, patient-first care. Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Quality and compliance Uphold regulatory, accreditation, and internal quality standards (ACR, CMS, state regulations). Support initiatives to enhance imaging accuracy, safety, and workflow efficiency. Technology leadership Utilize advanced imaging technology and collaborate with IT teams to maintain optimal PACS and imaging software performance. Provide feedback on imaging protocols and system enhancements.
Qualifications
MD or DO with specialization in radiology. Board-certified (or board-eligible within one year) in diagnostic radiology. Active, unrestricted medical license in Michigan or ability to obtain. Fellowship training in neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, women's imaging, or body imaging preferred.
Preferred Experience
Minimum of 2 years post-residency experience (strong new grads welcome to apply). Experience across multiple imaging modalities, including cross-sectional and breast imaging. Familiarity with outpatient diagnostic workflows is a plus.
Skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Attention to detail and multitasking in fast-paced settings. Team-focused with a collaborative mindset. Proficient with PACS/RIS and EHR systems.
