With facilities including the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and several community-based outpatient clinics, it offers a range of services such as primary care, specialty care, mental health services, and rehabilitation programs. The Cleveland VAMC is known for its specialized programs in areas like spinal cord injuries, geriatrics, and cardiology. Additionally, it collaborates with academic institutions, including Case Western Reserve University, to support cutting-edge research and provide advanced training for healthcare professionals. Facility Address: 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106Perfusionist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to) Provide perfusion services in line with ABCP, TJC, and AHA standards. Maintain quality of care meeting or exceeding recognized national standards. Assist the Cardio-Thoracic surgical team with bypass surgeries, valve replacements, and other cardiac procedures. Operate and monitor heart-lung machines, ensuring proper extracorporeal circulation and patient stability. Prepare and manage VA-owned cardiovascular support equipment, including intra-aortic balloon pumps and ventricular assist devices. Ensure sterile technique and a safe operating environment.
Perfusionist - REQUIREMENTS Must be board-certified through the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Graduated from an accredited Allied Health Education Program School of Perfusion Technology. Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice in any U.S. State, Territory, or Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia. Must have certification in Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Minimum of 5 years with at least 750 clinical cases.
