Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable. Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations with minimal notice. Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting. Must demonstrate superior customer focus and ability to communicate openly and transparently.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens. Maintain required records and documentation. Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Qualification And Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience.
