Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Florida American Heart Association BLS Certification for Health Care Providers Position Summary The Occupational Therapist is responsible to provide quality clinical care as part of a multidisciplinary team at the hospital and/or outpatient centers. Demonstrates competency in evaluation and treatment, utilizing value-based care and evidenced based practices, Supervise and delegate to the COTA's and Rehab Aide personnel, participate in student clinical affiliation program.
The Occupational Therapist assess patients and develops an age-appropriate treatment plan based on functional abilities. Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements. Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs., carry and lift up to 50lbs.
Threshold Requirements
These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation TB/PPD Surveillance Program Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
