Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 1000 WATERMAN WAY City: TAVARES State: Florida Postal Code: 32778 Job Description: Schedule Information: • Full-time • Day Shift Responsibilities: • Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows. • Supports breast center initiatives, such as accreditation preparation, community screening events, or quality improvement activities. • Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. • Performs high-quality examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. • Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression as needed. • Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion. • Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of Mammography and Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions [Required] • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required] • Ability to complete Mammography exams in a timely manner even under stressful condition [Required] • Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment [Preferred] • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required] • Ability to make judgments that must be made on a regular basis regarding exam protocols and imaging techniques, based upon patient condition and provisional diagnosis [Required] • Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures [Required] • Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff [Required] • Performance of 2D and 3D mammography exams [Required] Education: • High School Grad or Equivalent [Required] • Associate [Preferred] Work Experience: • 1+ year of experience [Required] Licenses and Certifications: • Registered Mammographer RT(M)(ARRT) [Required] • Registered Radiology Technologist RT(R)(ARRT) [Required] Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - https://tinyurl.com/2vvwrzem Pay Range: $26.08 - $48.50 This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
