Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests. Sanitation & Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed. Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption. Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed. Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents' individual preferences and needs are met during meal times. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required) Previous experience in a food service role (preferred, but not required) Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly Excellent communication and customer service skills
