Hygiene Assistant / Sterilization Technician Practice Name: J Street Dental Group Location: Sacramento, CA (Midtown) Employment Category: Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:45 AM – 4:45 PM (with a 30-minute lunch) Compensation: $18.00 – $20.00 / hour Benefits: Standard ADC benefits package Job Overview J Street Dental Group is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Hygiene Assistant / Sterilization Technician to join our team. This role operates in a fast-paced, bustling 12-op office supporting 4 to 5 hygienists at a time. The ideal candidate will seamlessly balance clinical hygiene assistance with strict sterilization protocols to ensure smooth, efficient patient care and safety. Key Responsibilities
Hygiene Support: Assist hygienists with accelerated or assisted hygiene workflows, perform coronal polishing, and apply sealants.
Sterilization & Room Turnover: Maintain rigorous infection control standards; efficiently clean, sterilize, and set up hygiene operatories.
Clinical Records & Imaging: Complete accurate hygiene notes, capture required digital X-rays, and document dental exams alongside the doctor.
Qualifications
Required: Active X-Ray License (non-negotiable).
Required: 8-hour Infection Control Certification.
Required: Coronal Polish Certification.
Preferred: Sealants Certification.
Traits: Ability to thrive and maintain a positive attitude in a busy, fast-paced team environment.
